Camma's Surgery Has Been Scheduled
Camma is a 5 month old Border Collie/ Sight Hound Mix
The vets at Denver Pet Hospital diagnosed her with 6 pelvic fractures.She needs surgery ASAP. The surgery will consist of atleast one surgical Bone
plate, and a lag screw to realign her pelvis. The healing process will
be prolonged due to the extent of the fractures. Denver Pet Hospital
will perform two 3-4 hour surgeries with an experienced surgeon and
veterinary staff who will be donating much of their time. Volunteers
are willing to provide "round the clock" post-surgical care for Camma.
This involved surgery is quoted at $4500.
Without surgery, her pelvis will collapse, and Camma will not be able
to urinate, defacate, or stand, resulting in a painful death or euthanasia.
