Charlie Brown - Ad placed 5/7
Charlie Brown is a Rottweiler who is 5 months old.  He needs a home with adults or older children and plenty of
room to run.  He enjoys a lot of attention
and likes to rough house.  Unfortunately
some of my children are younger and he
likes to play with them, but sometimes
plays too rough.  We would like to see him
go to a loving home where he can get lots
of attention. For information if you are
interested please call Jill @ 970-204-1236

Shorty - Ad placed 5/7
I am in a situation currently that needs help finding a good home for a one year old, white, female, pit bull.  We took
her into our family about6 months ago
because her previous owners could not
take care of her. Unfortunately, my other
dog has a very dominate personality and
has attacked "Shorty" twice now.  She is
the sweetest dog I have ever met.
She gets along with kids, dogs, is spayed,
is utd with her immunizations, and deserves
a good home where she will be spoiled with
attention and will not have to live in fear of
being attacked by another dog.  This is extremely urgent.  I am a single mother of two and have spent all my money that was supposed to go towards bills this month at the vet getting her stapled back up due to my other dog.  Shorty is extremely adoptable and I need to find her a good home quickly before my other dog decides to attack her again.  Please please help!!!!  I can be contacted at (970) 420-7849.

Homer and Scooby - Ad placed 4/17
The white dog, Homer, is a border collie mix.  Neutered male, about 30-40 lbs. very sweet and has an estimated age of
6-8 years old. He loves to cuddle and lay his
head in  your lap.
The black dog, Scooby, is a schipperke/heeler
mix. Spayed female, 30-40 lbs.(is overweight),
6-7 years old,  is a little timid but has shown
marked improvement in the past 48 hours that
she has been in our care! She loves to play fetch.
They have an unknown vaccine history but we
would be more than happy to get them up to date
for any potential adoptee!
Please call Summer Valley Vet at 303-690-5021

Zoe and Tucker - Ad placed 4/15/08
Here are my two precious girls, Tucker 2 ½ & Zoe 2 years old.  Tucker is a full-blooded German Shepherd and Zoe is a mixed Shepherd/Lab I believe.  Both girls are great with other dogs,
cats and children.  They are very
protective of their family and are both
very loving girls.  Both girls are
crate trained.  I have a big yard for them
to play in and would ask that anyone
considering them would also have space
for them to run and play.  I'm a single
mom with a baby and feel my dogs are
deserving of so much more than I can
provide them.  They would do well together
or apart.  Tucker is the playful Alpha and
Zoe is the loving lap dog.  Prior to my son
being born, they received all of my attention
and love, but unfortunately I'm not able to give them as much time and energy as I would like and as they most definitely deserve. The idea of giving them up is heart breaking, but the idea of them having to settle when they deserve so much more is even worse.  If you are interested in meeting one or both of these amazing dogs, please contact  Crystol at 303-680-6587 or 303-589-6797.

Petie - Ad placed 2/29/08
Petie is so full of love and so wants to find his forever home.  He is neutered and has had all his shots
He would love to ride everywhere
with you, live in your home, and
take care of you.  He gets along
well with other dogs and is about
2 and a half years old. Please
contact Gail from Northern New
Mexico Friends of Animals volunteer
rescue group 505-586-0010.

Pepper - Ad placed 2/29/08
Pepper is a beautiful silky coated spotted female dalmation/heeler? mix and is wanting desperately to find her forever
mistress or master.  She would love to be
an only child and an indoor dog - with a
fenced in yard for outside play.  She will
be about 3 years old in October and is
spayed and has had all her shots.  Foster
mom Gail and her husband Joe love Pepper
very much but know she needs a special
family of her own. Please contact Gail from
Northern New Mexico Friends of Animals
volunteer rescue group 505-586-0010.

Maya, the female pit/boxer? mix - Ad placed 2/28/08
Maya was found abandoned at a gas station here in northern New Mexico and it looked like she had worn a chain
around her neck. She is perhaps 2-3
years old, weighs about 55 lbs., has
been spayed and is up to date on shots.
ALL SHE WANTS IS LOVE! She seems
to be very good with kids and is anxious
to find her new home where she can get
the love and attention she deserves. She
has been diagnosed with rickets and is
on a calcium supplement.
Please contact Gail from Northern New Mexico Friends of Animals volunteer rescue group 505-586-0010.

Red, the purebred pit (we think) - Ad placed 2/28/08
Red was found abandoned at the Post Office here on a freezing December evening. Foster Mom Gail had received several calls about this poor dog and over she went to pick him up. He was
neutered when we found him and is
being treated for the second time for
a large abcess on his neck. If this
second round of antibiotics doesn't
work for what the vet thought was a
puncture wound, we may have to have
xrays to see if there is something inside
the abcess, causing it not to heal up.
Because of the abcess, he has not yet
had his shots. He is a gorgeous dog,
loves to play, and doesn't seem to be
aggressive with other dogs. He probably weighs about 70 lbs. and we think is not yet two years old. Whoever dumped or lost this guy lost a good friend!! When Gail let him into her house last weekend, he immediately jumped into their recliner and made himself at home, and so Gail believes he may have been an indoor dog. Also, he does not look too happy when left in his kennel outside!
Please contact Gail from Northern New Mexico Friends of Animals volunteer rescue group 505-586-0010.

ADOPTED Abner - Ad placed 3/15/08
I've had Abner all of his life. He is seven (7) years old and is a pure bread Lhasa Opso. He is a very large Lhasa (30 lb.). We just recently had surgery on his mouth and teeth. And he's up to
date on all of his shots and heart worm.
My problem is that Abner doesn't do well
around small children.  We received
permanent custody of four (4) of our 10
grandchildren (ages: 5; 6; 7 and 8) two
years ago and Abner isn't handling it well.
His temporment has changed a lot in the
last 8-10 months. He's nipped and bitten
my grandchildren several times...and I
need to find him a home.  Abner is
completely house broken.  He even rings
a bell I have hanging from the door to go
outside to potty.  He feels he is the boss
because he's always been the only one receiving the attention... and after the kids came, it's not near as much. I can't give the time needed to train Abner in "children".  He would be an awesome dog for an adult or couple w/no children. I love Abner very much but he really needs a home ASAP. I worry for my grandchildren.

ADOPTED! Asche-Ad placed 2/28/08
We have a 9 year old Siberian husky we are looking to give to a loving home. He is a family dog used to cuddling with adults and children.  He is very pretty and good natured.  He gets
defensive when threatened or has his
hair pulled or is rough housed so he
is not good to be left alone with small
children.  He has  been around them for
years now with no incident.  He digs
small holes in the backyard and loves to
chew on socks or toys.  He will never get
tired of being walked so is a good jogging
companion.  We love this dog and don't
want to give him up but are moving and
have no choice.  He is house trained but tends to mark new areas so you have to watch him for the first few weeks.  He is also crate trained and has been spending the majority of his time outside for the last few years. He used to spend almost all of his time inside. He is about 45 pounds and very strong and healthy with no known health problems.
Please help us find a home for our dog.
